Seven injured as ladder of daredevil show collapses

Seven people were injured, two of them critically, when the ladder of a wooden structure meant for a dare devil car racing show in the Bali yatra ground here collapsed today All the injured were immediately shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital by the local authorities.

Cuttack Deputy Collector Jyoti Prakash Das said overcrowding at the venue led to the mishap.

He said there was heavy rush of the people on the ladder to occupy a place to witness the show locally called ''Moth ki Kuan'' (Death well) when it collapsed .

The authorities soon after the incident closed the show and ordered an inquiry in to the incident.
