Nayudu: Haryana suffer innings defeat

Lethal deliveries by Asif Ali and Amit Sharma forced Haryana to an innings defeat against Madhya Pradesh who thus scored 21 points on the final day of a 4-day league encounter under the C K Nayudu Under-22 Cricket Tournament.

At Capt Roop Singh Stadium here, the visitors began adding to an overnight score of 45/3 and were bowled out for 177 after lunch.

Haryana scored 203 in their first innings while the hosts amassed 435.

For the visitors, Jayant Yadav (64) sent the cherry hurtling to the rope 12 times. He had scored a half-century in the first innings as well. Other contributors were Yatharth Tomar (46) and skipper Kuldeep Hooda (20).

For the hosts, Ali and Amit Sharma scalped 3 batsmen each while Ishwar Pande and Ankit Sharma claimed 2 wickets each.
