One woman killed, 10 injured in road accident

A 55-year-old woman farm labourer was killed on the spot and ten seriously injured when a mini lorry in which they were travelling suddenly overturned at Kattalai section road on the Karur-Tiruchirapalli national highway near here today.

Police said the victim and the injured hailing from K P Kulam village were on their way to attend farm work, when the mishap occurred.

The deceased was identified as Chithammal. The injured were admitted to Government Headquarters hospital here, police said.
