Woman sets herself, daughter afire

A 30-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by setting herself and her eight-year-old daughter afire at Subramaniyapuram area in the city today.

Police said the deceased were identified as Gunasundari and her daughter Parkavi.

On information, police and fire service personnel rushed to the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem.
