Mr Kumar takes objection of statement of Shivraj on Biharis
Patna | Friday, Nov 6 2009 IST

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today objected Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan's statement in which he had maintained that people from Bihar were not welcome in working in industrial units in his state.

Reacting to the reports in this connection which appeared in a cross section of press, Mr Kumar said every citizen had the right to earn his living in any part of the country of his choice and no one could prevent him from doing so.

''It is strange to note that Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Chouhan has made statement that Biharis are not welcome for working in his state'', Mr Kumar said, adding, Chief Minister of a state should abstain from making such statements.

Mr Kumar also wrote a letter to Mr Chouhan expressing his views on the issue.
