India Congress to contest all 150 seats in GHMC
Andhra Pradesh Congress comittee (APCC) tonight released the list of all 150 candidates to contest the forthcoming elections to the Greater Hyderabd Municipal Corporation(GHMC) slated later this month. The last date of filing of the nominations is tomorrow. According to a release, D Srinivas, President, APCC approved the following list of candidates of Indian National Congress to contest in the elections to be held on November 23 as ward members of GHMC. Following the guidelines framed by AICC, review held in the presence of Dr M Veerappa Moily, AICC incharge of Andhra Pradesh affairs and Dr K Rosaiah, Chief Minister, on October 31, after consulting the legislators, MPs, INC contestants of 2009 general polls, APCC functionaries belonging to GHMC area, Presidents of GHMC, Rangareddy and Medak DCCs and important leaders of the party in the state, the screening committee constituted by APCC finalised the candidatures. -- (UNI) -- 05DR83.xml
