HRD Bridge Course For WB PTTI Students
New Delhi | Thursday, Nov 5 2009 IST

A year-long Bridge Course was announced by the government today for Primary Teacher Training Institute students in West Bengal who have cleared Class XII with 50 per cent marks.

The announcement by the Human Resource Development Ministry said the Course formulated and being prepared in Bengali is to benefit 16,759 students.

Arrangements are also being made to help 7,080 students who passed Class XII with less than 50 per cent marks improve their score through the National Institute of Open Schooling.

Another 7,302 students, who have cleared class X, can take Class XII exam through the open school-- NIOS or the State government-- to qualify for the Bridge Course, the announcement said.
