Bihar speaker's relatives looted in J'khand

Unidentified miscreants today waylaid relatives of Bihar Speaker Uday Narayan Chaudhuri and looted them at Chorjharia Ghati under Balumath police staion in the district.

Talking to UNI, the Speaker said his brother Abahay, sisters Suchita and Sarita, and brother-in-law Sanjay along with their children were going to attend the inauguration of a church at Chainpur in Gumla district from Patna in a convoy.

But as the convoy, comprising five vehicles, reached the spot, the miscreants waylaid the convoy on NH75 and looted them.

Jewelleries and cash, worth about more than Rs three lakh, were looted, police said. The Speaker arrived at Chainpur yesterday.
