Kolkata | Thursday, Nov 5 2009 IST

India's only individual medal hope Maisnam Chinglensana Luwang failed to win a medal in the men's compound bow event of the third Asian Indoor Games archery competition at the Haiphong Youth Gymnasiam in Hanoi, Vietnam, today.

The Manipur-born armyman lost to the gold medal winner Reza Zamaninejad of Iran 111-117 in the semifinal and in the bronze medal play-off he was beaten by another Iranian Mansour Kordi 110-112.

India can still win archery medals tomorrow when the team championship will begin.
