UP lifts Federation cup T20 title

Uttar Pradesh registered their first title win in the National Federation Cup T20 cricket championship held at the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

In the final of the championship at Anantnag, with a fine bowling performance by Mayank Yadav, UP beat Haryana by 40 runs. Mayanak claimed seven wickets which included a fine hattrick.

Batting first, the UP team amassed 219 runs for the loss of seven wickets. The main contributors for them were Rahul Yadav (56), Praveen Shukla (46) and Ajay Singh (45).

Abhishek and Ashwani claimed two wickets each for Haryana.

In reply, Haryana team in front of the devastating bowling of Mayank, skitted out at 179 on the penultimate ball of the match.

Mayank, with a fine hattrick claimed seven wickets at the cost of only 20 run.
