Delhi in sight of first innings lead against Vadodara

Delhi were in sight of the first innings lead reducing Vadodara to 319 for eight on the third and penultimate day of their four-day Ranji Trophy Super League Group B match being played here today.

Delhi had made 591 in their first innings and now need just two more wickets to take the all important first innings lead with Vadodara still needing 273 runs to surpass Delhi's score.

At close of stumps on the third day, R Pawar with 42 and A Argal with 4 were at the crease.

Resuming from their overnight score of 21 for no loss, Vadodara lost two quick wickets with Connor Williams being caught behind by P Bhist of S Narwal for 9 and A Bilakhia making just 6 being caught by Shikhar Dhawan also of the bowling of Narwal to reduce Vadodara to 35 for two.

Vadodara batsmen have to be blamed for their plight as most of the batsmen got in and then got out with Satyajit Parab making 36, Jacob Martin 44, R Solanki 55 and Yusuf Pathan 32 and Pinal Shah who was the top scorer with 63.

For Delhi S Narwal with three wickets was the pick of the bowlers. He was supported by P Awana who took two wickets.
