Number of cross border guests continues to decline
Srinagar | Thursday, Nov 5 2009 IST

The number of cross border guests continued to decline as only eight residents of this side crossed over to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) while an equal number arrived here today.

Official sources told UNI this evening that eight residents of Kashmir valley, including three women, travelled in the Karvan-e-Aman bus from here to POK after crossing the Aman Setu bridge on foot near the last Indian military post near the Line of Control (LoC) at Kaman post.

However, 33 residents of POK, including 12 women and six children, who had come here in previous buses also returned to their homes after meeting their relatives here. They said eight residents of POK, including three women arrived here to meet their relatives here. Twelve residents, including four women, of this side also returned to their homes here after visiting their relatives in POK.
