Pope John Paul award to P C Cyriac, Tharsis Joseph

Former IAS officer P C Cyriac and Kuravilangadu Devamatha College Principal Dr Tharsis Joseph have been selected for the fifth Pope John Paul award instituted by the Catholic Federation of India.

Federation National President P P Joseph and other leaders said the award comprising a cash prize of Rs 25,000, citation and a memento would be presented at a function to be held at Kuravilangadu on December 4.

Catholic Federation of India leaders today appealed to the Centre and State Governments to introduce Haj model subsidy for the pilgrimage to Jerusalem and other Holy places where Jesus Christ was born and lived.
