India IIT-Kanpur non-teaching staff on strike
The non-teaching staff of the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, IIT-Kanpur, went on a day's strike today to press for their demands regarding pay parity. As many as 700 employees of the non-teaching staff went on the strike, asking for the implementation of the sixth pay commission recommendations, the institute sources said.
