Keeping in view the terrorist threat, Uttar Pradesh government has made elaborate security arrangments with deployment of commando forces at all the strategic points for the 19th Asian Table Tennis Championship comences here from November 16.

Over 500 players and officials from 23 countries The seluths of the Special task Force(STF) and the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) would also be an additional support to the security cover for the players and foreign delegates.

''There would be elaborate security in place to prevent any untoward incidents at the hotels and the championship venue'', state additional director general of police ( law and order) A K Jain told UNI here today.

He said that no one would be allowed to go near the foreign players or the delegates at their hotels or the championship venue.
