CMIA condemns murder of security guard
Aurangabad | Thursday, Nov 5 2009 IST

Condemning the brutal murder of personal security guard of the manager of Verroc company, the Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture (CMIA) today demanded that the culprits should be brought to book at the earliest.

Yesterday, unidentified people killed Santosh Thavare (30), a personal security guard of the manager of Verroc company in Dashmeshnagar area. The assailants apparently gagged his mouth before burning him alive in the toilet situated in a corner of the parking lot. They also allegedly attacked on the house of general manager of Verroc company.

Reacting over the shocking incidents, CMIA president Sachin Mule said any issue can be resolved with dialogue, and violence is not at all acceptable. Even after the slowdown in the industrial sector, the industries in Aurangabad kept on functioning properly without any layoff. The gruesome incidents have spoilt the impression of the city.

CMIA secretary Ashish Garde said there were incidents of attacks on the management in the past, but this chilling incident would cause a major damage to the reputation of the city.

CMIA delegation would soon meet the city Police Commissioner to demand immediate action against the guilty, he added.
