Shimla | Tuesday, Nov 3 2009 IST

While addressing the BJP Election Rally at Rohru in support of party candidate Khusiram Balnatah today, Mr. Dhumal said Congress has no agenda or programme for the development of state. He alleged that during Congress rule in the state its leaders had extensively miss utilised the funds for their personal benefit, and on the other hand they had been pretending to be well wishers of people.

Virbhadra Singh who had been representative of this Assembly segment for many times never took the development of this Assembly segment seriously.

He said during Congress rule the conditions of roads to this area remained grim. He charged the previous regime with delaying the release Market Intervention Scheme Payment which he claimed was cleared during present rule in the state. He charged Mr. Singh for shedding crocodile tears as bypoll for this segment is on the head. He said after resuming power in the state about 22 months back development of this state came on the tracks. He said for ensuring the all-round development of people in the state, his government has taken the lead by giving special emphasis on public welfare schemes and has achieved many milestones in a very short span. Recalling his governments achievements, Mr Dhumal said social pensions and daily wages have been enhanced during BJP rule.

He said after implementing Fifth finance commission recommendation the state government had provided the benefits of crores of rupees to the state employees.

Mr Dhumal hope that People of Jawali and Rohru would support BJP candidates to strengthen the transparent and responsible government in the state.
