ASI held for graft

An Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) posted at Gardanibagh police station of the state capital was arrested while taking a bribe here today.

Vigilance sources here said the ASI had demanded a bribe of Rs 4,000 from one Ramesh Paswan for passing information about a case.

The ASI was caught red-handed and the money was also recovered from him, the sources added.
