Dissident NDA legislators in Bihar demand Dy CM's resignation

With the state assembly elections being slated for next year,dissident activities within the ruling NDA gained momentum as a section of BJP and JD(U) MLAs started demanding resignation of Deputy Chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi. Holding Mr Modi, also finance minister,responsible for his recent alleged comment about the distributuion of Kisan Credit Cards,as many 12 MLAs of ruling partners BJP and JD(U) led by former Health minister Chandra Mohan Rai(BJP)and Ajit Kumar(JD(U) demanded immediate stepping down of the Deputy Chief Minister for his ''irresponsible act''.

The remarks of Mr Modi would only create further divisions among the partners of the ruling NDA,they alleged and urged the Chief Minister to initiate suitable action against his seniormost colleague soon.

Similar views were also expressed by other dissdent legislators and sought the resignation of Mr Modi.
