Central Forces to patrol for Kannur bypoll
Kannur | Tuesday, Nov 3 2009 IST

Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanadhan today said Central Forces would conduct its patrolling in Kannur for voters to exercise their franchise freely. While addressing a gathering at Alavil near here, Mr Achuthanandan alleged that the Election Commission was working under the directions of the Congress. Transparency is conspicious by its absence, he added.

He said worthwhile economic policies of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and other Congress Prime Ministers were scuttled by the United Progressive Alliance(UPA) Government at the Centre by adopting wrong policies.

The Chief Minister said the Centre cannot deceive the people with false promises.
