The city-based 160by2.com, one of India's largest free SMS service providers, today announced the launch of its service to UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, enabling consumers to send free SMS to and from the Middle East. The first-of-its-kind service was open to all internet users in India and enables free SMS connectivity to mobiles in these countries and vice versa, a press release here said. ''Free internet to phone messaging service particularly to foreign countries is expected to gain huge popularity in the country and we at 160by2 have the first mover advantage in the area by this launch. We see a huge demand for this service from users especially from states like Kerala, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh which are important markets for us. This model will revolutionise the market space by effectively removing the biggest hurdle in communication -- high costs,'' SMS Country CEO Satyakalyan Yerramsetti said. A consumer could get himself registered free of cost with the website and start using the service to send free SMS. -- (UNI) -- 27MC4.xml
