The demand was raised by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot before the 13th Finance Commission held consultations with the state government in a meeting at the state secretariat here. Commission Chairman Dr Vijay Kelkar and other commission members were also present at the meeting. Mr Gehlot said the share of states in Central Taxes should be increased from present 30.5 per cent to 40 per cent.
