Royal Challengers get new cheerleaders Bangalore | Monday, Apr 13 2009 IST
Royal Challengers, Bangalore (RCB) owned by liquor baron Vijaya Mallya, will get new cheerleaders 'White Mischief Gals' to boost its morale in the second edition of the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) in South Africa from April 18. In the inaugural edition held here last year, cricket fans were enthralled by the 'Washington Redskins' cheerleading team. The 'Gals' from a US varsity are seasoned cheerleaders and among the renowned names in the world in this aspect. The team, consisting of 24 girls gave a colourful demonstration with their 'flirty' on-field acts at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium here today. They would be leaving for Bloemfontein in South Africa later this week. In tune with the high octane T20 matches, the Gals, are all set to let the mercury soar. However, it will be disappointing for the cricket fans as they can see them only on television this time. -- (UNI) -- 13SPM1.xml
