Affle, a leading mobile media company has announced a global strategic relationship with Microsoft, which is expected to add significant value to both the companies. As part of this strategic relationship, Affle now intends to work closely with Microsoft to expand its mobile media and advertising business worldwide. Mr Anuj Khanna, CEO, Affle, said that he was confident that Microsoft's expertise and relationships in the Mobile media eco-system, would help Affle scale this business globally at a very rapid pace. Hemant Sachdev, Joint Managing Director, Microsoft India Consumer and Online business, said SMS2.0 is a great channel to help further spur the adoption of Windows Live and MSN services amongst consumers in Asia. Affle's SMS2.0 service will also be able to help boost the usage of many of the Windows Live services and MSN content on mobile, and also create a large volume of new mobile advertising inventory. As part of this working relationship, Microsoft has also become a minority shareholder in Affle, a press release said here today. Affle currently operates in five countries including Singapore, India, Thailand, Malaysia and UK. The company is in the process of strategically expanding to other top mobile markets soon.
