URB Breeders win leading owners trophy

The United Racing and Bloodstock Breeders Limited won the leading individual owner trophy with stakes of 1.35 crore on the concluding day of Bangalore Summer Meeting 2008, Mr Jayant Shah Chairman and Senior Steward of the Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) announced here today. M/s Aquarius Maritime Private Limited and Mr Yohann Shroff won the leading joint owners trophy with stakes of Rs 25.59 lakh. S Ganapathy won the Champion Trainer trophy with 32 winners. Suraj Narredu won the Champion Jockey trophy with 28 winners, Mr S John won the Champion Indian Jockey claiming allowance with seven winners. Usha Stud Farm won the Leading Stud Farm trophy with 24 winners, Kannada Daily "Prajavani" won the leading Tipster trophy with 81 winners and Race Card Publisher, The Turf King with 81 winners. Dr and Mrs Vijay Mallya's 'Set Alight' won the Champion horse trophy with stakes of Rs 1.4 crore. -- (UNI) -- 08SPM16.xml
