Rahul to attend party meetings in city

Congress Working Committee (CWC) Member and All India Congress Committee(AICC) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi will arrive here tomorrow on a two-day visit to the city to attend the Executive Meeting of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) and also the State Youth Congress(YC) programme on July 27.

Talking to newspersons here today, APCC President D Srinivas said Rahul would spend 75 minutes at the party headquarters Gandhi Bhavan on July 27, where he would launch the Communication system and conduct a video conference with the District Congress Presidents. Mr Srinivas said Mr Rahul would also address the State Executive meeting of the party and have a meeting with the heads of frontal organisations, departments and cells of the APCC on the same day.

The Congress General Secretary would interact with the local MPs and MLAs and other leaders before leaving for a programme organised by the YC in the city. The APCC President said Rahul would address the concluding session of the 'Aam Aadmi Ka Sepoy' where nearly 1600 YC workers from the entire country had undergone training from July 23. The trained workers would then provide training to the workers in their respective States to take the developmental programmes of the UPA Government to the people.

The meeting, which would be presided over by Mr Srinivas, would be attended by AICC General Secretary and in-charge of Andhra Pradesh Affairs, M Veerappa Moily and Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, among others.
