China not Pak major threat to India: VHP
Hyderabad | Friday, Jul 25 2008 IST

Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) International Secretary General Praveen Togadia today underlined the need for India developing nuclear warheads for deterrence as China and not Pakistan would be a ''major security threat'' to the country.

Addressing a press conference here, he said China had positioned nuclear arsenals in Tibet and they could be targetted against India. India by signing the Indo-US nuclear deal should not surrender its right to develop nuclear weapons, he opined.

After 30 years, the race for economic supremacy in the world would be only between India and China and not with the USA, he felt.
