Human chain against nuke deal
Bhopal | Saturday, Jul 19 2008 IST

Communist Party of India workers formed a human chain in Itwara area of the state capital today to protest against the Indo-US civil nuclear deal.

The agitators, led by CPI leader Shailendra Kumar Shaili, also raised slogans against Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and US President George Bush.

The agreement was detrimental to the country's sovereignity and Dr Manmohan Singh had succumbed to US pressure, Mr Shaili said.
