BJP MLA booked for using abusive language New Delhi | Tuesday, Jul 8 2008 IST
Delhi police registered a case against BJP MLA Kulwant Rana after he allegedly used abusive language against some government officials in a office of Slum and JJ Department at ITO here today. The case was registered following a complaint, filed by Additional Commissioner (Revenue, Slum and JJ), B S Tomar and Chief Engineer O P Verma that the MLA stormed into a meeting held by them at Punarvas Bhawan at 1600 hrs, where Chandra Bai Reddy, IAS, was also present, and indulged in abusive language against the officials over some matter of the Slum and JJ Department. A case has been registered against Mr Rana under Section 386, 353 and 509 of the IPC relation to obstruction of a public servant in carrying out his duty. -- (UNI) -- 08DI90.xml
