BJP leader receives threat from Maoist Bhagalpur | Thursday, May 22 2008 IST
Proscribed CPI (Maoist) today threatened BJP leader and leading industrialist Nishikant Dubey with dire consequences if he did not follow their diktat. Mr Dubey said the Maoist had sent a letter threatening him and his family members if he did not comply with their instruction by stopping the construction of a shopping complex in Bhagalpur. ''I will seek security cover from Bihar police in view of the threats on life of my family by the Maoists '', he informed. In its letter, Maoist stated that Mr Dubey had already acquired huge properties in Bhagalpur district and was not required to build another business complex there. Meanwhile, Deputy police superintendent of Kahalgaon Kumar Eklay said lawful action had been initiated after registration of an FIR in this connection. -- (UNI) -- 22CA51.xml
