Harry Jindal of Punjab is in line for a double in the AITA Talent Series Tennis Championship being played at the CLTA Stadium here today. Partnering Prateek, Harry Jindal claimed the boys under-16 doubles title, as the Punjab pair defeated the Chandigarh duo of Manoj and Mandeep Kumar 7-6 (6), 2-6, 10-3 in the final. Later, Jindal moved into the boys Under-16 final, as he silenced his colleague Jaspinder 7-5, 6-2 in the semi-final. His opponent in the tomorrow's final will be sixth seed Pankaj Kumar of Chandigarh who beat qualifier Samim Bhargava, also of Chandigarh, 6-3, 6-1 in the second semi-final. Delhi's Vikas Berwal, seeded fifth, will challenge Sachin Kumar of Chandigarh, for the boys Under-12 singles final tomorrow. Vikas stopped the winning spree of giant-killer Utkarash Khosla of Chandigarh 6-2, 6-1 in the semi-final. Sachin entered the final after beating second seed Dheer Anush Bhatti of Chandigarh by 6-3, 6-1 in the second semi-final. Chandigarh pair of Harkirat Kaur Bains and Charvi Saxena emerged winners in the girls Under-16 doubles final as they outpointed Ayenaaz Sidhu and Rajendra Madhu, also of Chandigarh 6-4, 6-1. Local Prabhamrit Kaur will face Jaspreet Kaur of Punjab in the girls Under-16 singles final. In semi-final contests, Prabhamrit Kaur beat Sandeep Saran (Pb) 6-2, 6-0 while Jaspreet Kaur (edged out Ravnoor Kaur of Chandigarh 7-6 (5), 6-2. -- (UNI) -- 22SPD41.xml
