NCP activist murdered

A Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) activist has been murdered here today. According to the sources, unidentified persons attacked Balasaheb Tupe, a NCP activist with swords, knives and other weapons in Ganesh Chowk area of CIDCO tonight. In this attack, Tupe was seriously injured. He was taken to the District Civil Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Besides being a NCP activist, Tupe also worked as a journalist with some local newspapers here. Meanwhile, adequate vigil has been maintained in the area to avoid any untoward incident.
