Bihar police constable allegedly commits suicide, injures two
Patna | Tuesday, May 20 2008 IST

A Bihar Police constable allegedly committed suicide by opening fire on himself from his service rifle and injured two others, including an Army jawan, at the SSB headquarters here today. Official sources informed that the incident took place when the deceased, who was posted as the security guard at the Seema Sasastra Bal(SSB) headquarters, suddenly turned his Insus rifle on himself and started firing. While he died on the spot the SSB jawan, who was sitting nearby and the Army jawan, who was passing through the spot, were rushed to the Patna Medical College and Hospital(PMCH) in critical condition. However, the cause of the suicide was yet to be ascertained though the preliminary investigation ruled out any accidental firing, the sources said.

Meanwhile, the body had been sent for post-mortem, they added.
