BJP wins election by ''inhuman leashing of state's power'': Krishna
Bangalore | Tuesday, May 20 2008 IST

Senior Congress leader S M Krishna today accused the BJP of winning the recent elections in Gujarat by ''inhuman leash of state's power'' on innocent people, especially on minorities.

Speaking to reporters, he said the saffron party had brought Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi for electioneering, and said it would form a 'Gujarat model' of Government here.

''People of the country have seen the worst type of genocide unleashed by the BJP during Godhra carnage. They do not want a Godhra-type Government in Karnataka,'' he said.

Mr Krishna accused the BJP of winning the recent elections in Gujarat by unleashing the state's power on innocent people, especially the minorities. ''We don't want this to happen in Karnataka. The BJP might have won the election in Gujarat but people suffered the agony,'' he alleged.
