Bombs exploded at accident site: Police Kurnool | Saturday, May 17 2008 IST
District Superintendent of Police Madhusudhan Reddy today said the clues team had found that bombs exploded at the spot where a lorry collided with sumo near Bodhanur in the district. Talking to newspersons here, Mr Reddy said some doubts had risen about the accident in which faction leader K Venkatappa Naidu was among the eight killed. One of the three injured succumbed in the hospital. Preliminary investigations revealed the victim might have been attacked by the rival faction. He said a murder case would be registered based on the evidence available from the spot. So far, no one was taken into custody in connection with the alleged attack on the faction leader. Some sickles and three country-made bombs were recovered from the site. Meanwhile, additional forces were deployed in Kappatrala, the native village of the faction leader. -- (UNI) -- 17MS51.xml
