30 touts held for selling tickets in black Tirumala | Saturday, May 17 2008 IST
In a major break through, the Tirumala police arrested nearly 30 touts and held one TTD security guard for allegedly selling Sri Vari seva tickets in black, here today. Police said, after arresting two TTD employees yesterday, Tirumala police had constituted separate teams. Acting on a tip off they arrested 30 touts at various places in Tirumala and seized cash and cell phones from there possession. Some fake VIP recommendation letters from MLA's, Ministers' and other top officials have also seized, police added. The security guard Chandrakumar was held for selling two Archananthra darshan tickets to Maharashtra-based devotees for Rs 700 against its actual price of Rs 400, TTD vigilance and security office told UNI. -- (UNI) -- 17MS57.xml
