Woman drives away men from CM's meeting Barwani | Saturday, May 17 2008 IST
A woman, armed with a lathi, drove a few men away who were obstructing the view while Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was addressing a Panch Sarpanch meeting at Jalgaon, 40 km from here today. Pesent at the meeting in large number, all the women were sitting systematically during Mr Chouhan's address when a crowd of men came in front of them obstructing their view. Irritated by the disturbance so caused, a woman raised and drove the men away during which many men fell on one another. As a reaction, all the men dispersed making for a clear view to the female audience. Later, Mr Chouhan asked all the people, police and mediapersons to sit in an organised manner. ''Respect woman in the era of women empowerment,'' he said in a lighter vein. -- (UNI) -- 17DR38.xml
