Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, Kerala Circle, had launched the bundling scheme, with LG electronics India Ltd, which provides LG hand-sets with BSNL mobile connections in attractive schemes. The scheme, valid for 15 months from the date of activation, would provide the customers free-talk-time worth Rs 100 per month for 15 months, said Chief General Manager Telecom (Kerala) Circle K S Sreenivasan, while addressing a press conference yesterday, as part of the launch of the scheme. The package would be available both in post-paid and pre-paid categories, he added. The scheme would get converted to general pre-paid scheme after the expiry of 15 months or to any other pre-paid scheme desired by the customer. For post-paid connections, the bill charges would be adjusted for the call charges. Mr Srinivasan said the handset bundling scheme was aimed at lower segments of the people, who could get a reliable branded handset. The KG-276 and KG-271 are the two LG mobile sets that would be provided to e-customers in the scheme. On the Telecom State Circle, he said it was aimed to give about one million mobile connection this year. There was also a target of providing five-lakh broadband connections, which now stood at 3.5 lakh, he added. -- (UNI) -- 17MS3.xml
