Gilchrist rules out security fears New Delhi | Friday, May 16 2008 IST
Shane Warne and Shane Watson's concerns over security following the serial bomb blast that rocked the Jaipur city did not make an effect on their former teammate Adam Gilchrist who ruled out any plans to leave the IPL midway. ''It was a tragic incident that happened in Jaipur. I have full sympathy for every victim of that incident,'' Gilchrist told mediapersons at the post-match press conference after his side was beaten by Delhi Daredevils late last night. Gilchrist expressed his satisfaction over the security arrangements and said the IPL authorities have worked out well enough to complete the tournament as scheduled. ''IPL has been a fantastic tournament and the security has been satisafactory. The local authorities along with the IPL have done a great job and there is no reason to be worried,'' Gilchrist replied back when asked about the fears expressed by other Australian players. Earlier, Rajasthan Royals' captain Warne, Watson and South African skipper Graeme Smith had raised their concerns over continuing their stint in the IPL. All the three players are currently in Goa and will be back to the Pink city this evening to play Bangalore Royal Challengers tomorrow. -- (UNI) -- 16SPD14.xml
