Centre's nod to heritage circuit tourism project

The heritage circuit tourism project linking all historical temples and tourist spots would come up soon, as the Centre sanctioned Rs 25 crore for it, Tirupati Lok Sabha member Chinta Mohan said.

He said the Centre had given its nod to the Rs 1,500 crore project covering scores of pilgrim centres in Chittoor district, including tourist spots around Tirupati. The project would also cover Nellore District and four holy places in Chittoor District would be developed under it he added.

The circuit will cover the temples of Kalyana Venkateswara (Srinivasa mangapuram), Kapileswara Swamy temple (Tirupati), Padmavathi Ammavari temple (Tiruchanur) and many other temples in Narayanavanam, Nagalapuram, Kanipakam, Surutupalli, Mannarpollur etc, he added.
