CPI's jail bharo movement from June 16 Ambedkarnagar | Friday, May 16 2008 IST
The Communist Party of India (CPI) has announced a 'jail bharo' movement against the ongoing price hike from June 16. CPI Mahila Morcha president Subhashini Ali while addressing a gathering here late yesterday said, ''the UPA government at the Centre and the Uttar Pradesh government have failed to control the increasing prices.'' ''Neither both the governments are taking any concrete steps to check the prices, nor the Essential Commodities Act (ECA) is being implemented properly,'' she charged. The party was starting an intense agitation from June 1, while the jail bharo movement would commence from June 16, the CPI leader added. -- (UNI) -- 16DR25.xml
