Knight Riders win by 23 runs
Hyderabad | Sunday, May 11 2008 IST

A scintillating knock of 91 by skipper Saurav Ganguly enabled Kolkota Knight Riders to post an impressive 204 for four against Deccan Chargers and restrict the hosts to 181 for seven to win by 23 runs in the return leg of the DLF Indian Premier League at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here today.

An unbeaten 71 by local lad Venugopala Rao was not just enough for the hosts to reach the huge total piled by the Kolkota south paw, who earlier added first 69 runs along with Chopra (24) for the second wicket and 102 runs for the third wicket along with unbeaten D J Hussey(57).

The stroke-filled knock of visiting team's skipper, included 11 boundaries and five sixes.
