Situation improving in J & K: Shivraj Patil

Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil today said the situation in Jammu and Kashmir has improved considerably.

Talking to reporters here after visiting naxal-affected areas, Mr Patil said there has been a slight improvement in the situation in the north-east but a lot more needs to be done. Praising security jawans for their struggle against terrorism and separatism, Mr Patil said their efforts had brought improvement in affected states.
