Fire in OHPC godown

Property worth several lakhs of rupees was gutted in a devastating fire in the godown of the Orissa Hydro Power Corporation at Burla in the wee hours today. Though the exact cause of the fire was not yet known, fire brigrade sources said it could be due to a short circuit. However, sources here said the godown was set ablaze by some persons deliberately to cover up the shortage in the stock. Investigation was on. Further details are awaited. -- (UNI) -- 11CA32.xml
