Decomposed body of tiger found Chandrapur | Sunday, May 11 2008 IST
An almost decomposed body of a 15-year-old tiger was found at Pandhar Pauni area in Tadoba Andhari Tiger reserve here, forest sources said today. The body of the tiger was spotted by the field staff at around 0900 hrs yesterday. A post mortem of the body revealed that the tiger might have died two days back, but the body was noticed yesterday. ''It seems that the old tiger was infirm and had been injured in a fight'', forest sources added. This was the sixth death of a tiger since January 2005 inside the Tadoba core area.
