Sons kill father over land dispute

Two brothers murdered their 70-year old father following the proposed sale of a half acre of land in Parcallo village near here last night, police said. Giving details, police sources said Karnesh and his brother, Jai Parkash attacked their father, Phool Chand when he insisted on selling a half acre piece of land that the family possessed. The father was hit on the head with a iron rod and he died on the spot. The two brothers who were against the sale of the land, fled after committing the crime. The police has registered a case. In another incident, a 25-year old doctor identified as Praveen murdered a 38-year old woman in Mustafabad village last night following a quarrel. The deceased was identified as Preeto.
