Explosives seized, three held

A huge quantity of explosives have been seized by police during a raid at BJP leader Ashok Kushwaha's residence at Niwadi area in this district last night, police said today.

''During the raid, 100 detonators, three kg gelatin, two drilling machines, one trolley teakwood and other explosives were seized,'' Superintendent of Police Anurag said.

The BJP leader fled while the raid was being carried out. His father Jayram Kushwaha was arrested along with Mahendra and Jitendra Kushwaha.

Ashok Kushwaha was the vice-president of Niwadi panchayat. Other three culprits were also affiliated to political parties.
