Youth hangs self with web camera on

A student allegedly committed suicide with his web camera focussed on him after he had a fight with his lover during a chat on the net. Police today said V S Karthik (21) a final year BDS student of Pariyaram Medical College, after a tiff with his lover on the internet keyed in the words, ''I am going to commit suicide'' and then focussed the web camera towards the ceiling fan and hanged himself, police today said. Police found his body hanging in his hostel room yesterday evening while the web camera was still on. The incident came to light only after Karthik's friends looked inside the room through the window after finding the door locked from inside. The police, however, is yet to confirm if his act had been recorded by the web camera. -- (UNI) -- 15MS7.xml
