NIIT enters into partnership with ETS

NIIT Ltd today said it has partnered with Educational Testing Service (ETS) to leverage its testing and assessment capabilities and offer tests to students, professionals and job aspirants who seek to evaluate thier english communication skills for employment.

ETS, which is known for its tests worldwide like- TOEFL, will offer Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC), a standard test for business communication. The strategic agreement will enable NIIT to have exclusive rights to offer ETS's TOEIC test (Test of English for International Communication), TOEFL Practice Online (TPO), and Criterion Online Writing Evaluation Service-in India. Initially, 400 centers will be opened across 220 cities in the country. The TOEIC test is offered in about 60 countries around the world and is also recognised by almost 5,000 companies worldwide.

NIIT Ltd had recently acquired controlling interest in Evolv Management Services, a leading provider of English language and communication training.

This acquisition along with its partnership with ETS is likely to enhance NIIT's business in the country.
