BJP not to give ticket to Suresh Chandel: Jain
Shimla | Monday, Nov 12 2007 IST

The BJP today said suspended party leader and former Lok Sabha MP Suresh Chandel was not likely to be fielded by the party in the coming assembly elections.

Addressing mediapersons here, party incharge Satpal Jain said like everyone one else he too had applied for contesting assembly elections, but was unlikely to be given a ticket.

Mr Chandel was supended from the party and later from the Lok Sabha following the ''cash for query'' sting operation by a private news channel last year.

''I do not think the party would consider his name for the coming assembly elections,'' he added.
